A Year in Review

What a year it has been in our lives... we have had many grand adventures and exciting times over the last 365 days.  Ups and Downs... Joys and Sorrows... but through it all we have been by each others side and have shared in the life experiences together...
 
 Here is a recap of our year...

December 2015...
- (20) Angela moved from China to California to start a new job and see where the relationship with Justin would lead.
-(24) Spent Christmas eve with the Czerniak's and then A hopped on a plane to go to the east coast to spend Christmas with her family.

January 2016...

-(11) A started as director of Christ Community Preschool in Laguna Hills, J started a new roll as project manager in the emergency preparedness area at University of LaVerne.
-(MLK weekend) Went to San Diego and got year passes to the SD zoo and Balboa park... also explored Gas Lamp District... Great weekend away!

February...
-Angela went to her first Hockey game (Ontario Reign) with Justin, Dave, and Amanda.

-(Valentines/President's weekend) road trip to N. California to see the McHale's in Livermore... got to visit Santa Barbara, Solvang, San Francisco, Monteray Bay, and Big Sur in our explorations.


















March...

-(Easter weekend) ... road trip to Casa Grande, Arizona to see the Cole's.  some stops along the way include Phoenix, Yuma, Dateland, Julian, and Painted Rock.



April...
- (last weekend)... road trip to Las Vegas, NV to meet up with Angela's parents... explored the Mob Museum and the Neon Boneyard... saw Billy Joel in concert... and walked around Red Rock Canyon National Park

May...
-Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival


June....
-Whale watching with the Shuman's

-Explore the local vineyards and wineries in Temecula

-Angela went with a co-worker to see Fishfest at the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater

July...
-(the 4th of July weekend) ... Universal Studios City Walk and then onto the Hollywood Bowl to see Chicago in concert

-(24th) ... Angela's birthday weekend was spent in San Diego at the zoo

August...
-Angela flew to Colorado for a memorial service and to see some Molokai family

-enjoyed a drive through Joshua Tree National Park

September...
-(16)... Got engaged

- went to an Angel's Baseball Game

October...
-San Diego Safari Park

-(24)... Got married

-Angela's first trip to Disneyland in California... Build a Bear... and San Diego were all part of the Honeymoon

November...
-(23) Disneyland to see the sights and sounds of the holidays
-(24) our first thanksgiving with Mom and Dad Czerniak

December...
-Justin knows how much Angela enjoys this time of the year so we have had numerous evening drives to see Christmas light displays (Thouroughbred and Riverside Mission Inn) and just enjoying the season together

-(18)... Justin's birthday weekend was spent watching Rogue One, playing games with friends, going to the Getty Museum and Gardens, strolling the Hollywood Walk of Fame and seeing the TCL Chinese Theatre.

This brings us to today...  With a couple more weeks left of 2016... we are going to do some local things over the holidays but we are gearing up for several big adventures for 2017!!!  Thank you to all who have helped fund some of these through our adventure registry and others who have joined us in some of these adventures.

We truly enjoy doing this thing called life... together!!

Lighting up the holiday season

Marriage is all about knowing what your partner likes and trying your best to selflessly meet those needs.  Justin knows how much Angela enjoys this time of the year so we have created a list of must do's for this season.

On Friday night we drove up to Rancho Cucamonga to walk through an entire neighborhood decorated for the holidays...followed up by a trip for Peppermint Mochas!

Our first Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Day marks one month since we said "I do".  There are so many things that we are thankful for this year!  We have truly been blessed! 

We spent our first thanksgiving at Mom & Dad Czerniak's enjoying a great festive meal.  

The rest of the weekend we enjoyed down time at home working on projects... creating fun meals with leftovers... and using some of our adventure gifts to see a couple of the latest movies.

One month anniversary

As part of our grand adventure... we invested in season passes to Disneyland for the year.  With living less than an hour from the most magical place on earth, we thought it would make great date nights.  

On the eve of thanksgiving and the eve of our one month anniversary we left work early and enjoyed an evening kicking off the holiday season. 

There is just something even more magical of Disneyland at night!!! 

We experienced the holiday editions of It's a Small World and the Jingle Cruise.  

We saw the castle decorated with lights... the light show "World of Color" at California Adventure... and snow down main street.

A month prior to this... we sat on our suite balcony with Joe and Lori at the Disneyland Hotel watching the fireworks the night before our wedding!  What a magical month it has been!
