Week 15 of growing a small human started off with mommy and daddy going on a date night with a couple of other couples to see Solo! Highly recommend it! And getting some cute baby "must haves" as a gift from friends!
Somewhere in the midst of the evening out... I picked up something that didn't agree with my system and over a 24 hour period caused me to lose all the weight I had gained so far and flush it down the toilet. Plus to top it off had a fever of over 100 which is always concerning because we don't want to bake small child. I did take a doctor approved Tylenol and my fever broke Sunday night!
By 11pm Sunday night... I felt great... got up... had a snack.... and did some sewing til 2am! Yeah that Monday was a holiday!
Thankfully Monday brought with it no sickness and lots of energy! Praying this trend continues!
For names... this week's suggestion as our little guy is the size of an avocado... the name suggestion is Hass! Names are another topic for another time!
We also went furniture shopping for a glider recliner that I will be spending a lot of time in after our little arrives. We also picked up a few items for our downstairs library to host guests that want to come for a visit and assist after baby comes. As time and energy allows we are working on getting our house ready for the newest addition and guests!
This week has been filled with heart burn and indigestion... a bit of a growing baby bump... the possibility of movement from our active little guy... and a good healthy heartbeat.
Today was the first doctors appointment where there were no picts... just heart monitoring. I do have to count us extremely blessed because I have gotten to see our little 4 times via ultrasound over the last 10 weeks.
Great thing is... he is growing and soon he will be compared to another fruit or vegetable! What will week 16 bring?

He or she? What will Baby Czerniak be?
It hasn't been a big secret around our house as we have known pretty early on what the gender of our little one will be. But... sorry no big gender reveal for our little one...
Due to being over a certain magical age... and this being our first child... my midwife recommended at 10 weeks to go in for genetic testing and then sent a referral for me to see a "geriatric" ob... SERIOUSLY?
Anyway after the initial thought of... I am OLD... I came to my senses and realized that it would be fun to know what we were having early on and to make sure all is going well with our little one. Plus... extra OB appointments means more opportunities to see our little one dancing around!
He looks like his daddy doesn't he!
Hehe.... we are having a little BOY!
And so far all the testing has come back normal and that he is developing on target. Please pray with us that he keeps growing and developing as he should!

Baby Czerniak: First Trimester Recap
The first three months have been filled with emotions, exhaustion, and nausea... all great things when growing a small human but not quite understood until you are in process of it!
I preface all of this with a huge apology for all those that I have had the joy of spending time with while they were growing a small human... I truly had no idea how taxing this process is ... I now put every other mom on a pedestal of "wonder woman". I now understand what is meant when you would rather just watch paint dry than do any thing else... or how much energy it took to get work out clothes on and go for a walk... or when you said it is just a different kind of exhaustion... I get it now.
I knew something was going on at about week 4 ... I told Justin my suspicions as we were walking out of the gym one evening after a workout when he was super concerned and asked me what was going on. After that I proceeded to take a home test.... and then call my doctor to set up an appointment...

And there was a tiny human developing. We chose to wait to tell people until we were almost outside of the first trimester just due to being high risk. After 3 ultrasounds and a trip to the "geriatric" ob.... our little's heartbeat is strong and everything is developing well.
Plus as 2nd trimester begins ... praying for the nausea to go away and some energy to return so we can get ready for this small humans arrival!
More adventures to come with Baby Czerniak as we announce if it is a he or a she! Stay tuned!

Continuing the grand adventure...
After a bit of a break from blogging...
Justin and I would like to announce the beginning of our next great adventure...
We thought Mother's day would be the opportune time to share the news because this has always been a very tough day for Angela through the years. Many blogs have been written about the desire of being a wife and mother.
