Week 9... 2 months old

Hello world! I am 9 weeks today and officially 2 months old as of this past Thursday.

The week started with mommy and daddy having a backyard date around the fire pit roasting marshmallows for Smores while watching the full lunar eclipse and blood moon.
I enjoyed extra snuggles and playtime with mommy and daddy as they were home on a long weekend thanks to MLK day.
Mommy has gotten good at keeping me entertained while she showers and gets ready. This is how I normally roll! My head control is really good and I am working on my leg strength as I bounce. My fine motor skills are getting better as I grab on to certain toys.
I had my 2 month doctors appointment on Friday where I started my immunizations. I cried a little but was ok after I had some food.

I am 14 lbs 11 oz and 23.25 inches long. I am in 3-6 month clothes, size 2 diapers, and eating 4-6 ounces every 3 hours. On a good night I sleep 3-4 hours at a time. On a not so good night... i am nursing every hour! I am staying awake longer during the day and normally a happy little guy.

When I do get fussy... it is normally because I am hungry, need a clean diaper or just need snuggles. This is how daddy and I have been getting stuff done while mommy is at work! I love spending my days with daddy!

8 weeks

It has been a week of emotions as mommy went back to work. Daddy is staying home with me.

I love reading in the evenings with mommy.

And I am a good sleeper when I want to sleep.
I am getting much bigger. Growing is hard work!

Week 7... a bit delayed

Oh, the personality of this kid. We have had a mixture of emotions. Week 7 has also brought with it a lot more verbal expressions.
But oh the emotions

... frustration
... when the cat wanted yo share the bassinet

...contentedness... once mommy took the cat out of the bassinet

...surprise
... that the flash on the camera was so bright

...laughter... as mommy makes funny faces at me

..
Thoughtful.... then there are moments that I just wonder

...playful...even if it is the wee hours of the morning

.... inventive... as I find new ways to sleep

,..peaceful.. naps are truly a blessing for  both mommy and me.

Besides all of the expression... we had our first playdate this week with Asher... he liked to pull my socks and try to share his snack. ..I am also getting into a good routine during the day with 3 solid naps! Night's I am still getting up every 3 hours to eat.   A growing boy needs to eat. Mommy says she guesses I am up to 12 lbs... we don't have another doctor appointment until the end of the month.

Week 6

This week we rang in a new year! I think we were all up to see 18 change to 19 even though mommy tried to get me to bed early.  We had a dozrn friends over new years day for a traditional southern lunch. I got lots of hugs and snuggles!

Mommy has been trying to establish a bed time routine. I love taking baths in my ducky bathtub. Then we read a couple of books before I lay down in my bassinet and mommy sings to me while patting my bottom.

The snowman  pajamas came out this week as it has been in the 20s and 30s at night.

I have grown a bit... my 0-3 month clothes are getting too short and I am almost too long for my bassinet! Too bad I just got used to sleeping in my bassinet.

My days are spent being awake a little more. I love tummy time and helping mommy around the house. I like being up and about so I spend a lot of time being strapped to mommy.
At night I am up every 3 hours like clockwork to eat. A growing boy needs his food! Mommy is looking forward to me sleeping a little longer at night especially since she goes back to work soon.
Mommy had her 6 week checkup on Friday and was told she can start walking. We have already been doing a lot of walking...Oops! I love being outside and being strapped to mommy s we walk around.
