The Engagement

Anyone that knows Angela... knows that she doesn't do "normal" well.  Our entire relationship has been based on divine intervention ... a bit of serendipity... and a whole lot of answers to prayer.

On September 5th, 2016 (Labor Day) while driving back to Justin's house from doing grocery shopping, Justin asked the question... "so when would you like to get married... sooner... later... the end of this year... the first of next year.... what are your thoughts???"

We both have known for a while that we desire to get married and spend our time sharing adventures with one another.  So Angela says... well sooner than later would be great!  She also brought up the fact that it had been discussed that it was important to have Joe and Lori (the couple that had introduced them) at the wedding.

Well in that short car ride home... we both came to the realization of a couple of things...

1.  Joe and Lori live in Egypt.
2.  Joe and Lori don't come back stateside very often.
3.  Joe and Lori were planning on coming back the end of October.

So it was decided that our wedding would be sooner than later and fall according to the travel plans of Joe & Lori.

After a couple of deep breaths... the wedding planning began.  Date... check!  Venue... check! Father asked for blessing...check!  Families notified... check! Guest list of less than 18 people... check! Bridal party... flowers... colors... and the list could go on.

Angela decided to take off Friday (Sept 16th) from work to get some wedding stuff done... and Justin followed suite.  When plans for Friday were discussed... Justin said... let's go down and get our marriage license as that needs to be done... then we can do some looking for things we need for the wedding and go to the LA County Fair.

So we drove down to Temecula to the County Clerks office to file our information.  With marriage license in hand we walked out of the building and instead of heading directly to the car,

Justin wanted to go "look" at the library which was right next door.  While walking through a little flower filled courtyard between the buildings... Justin got down on one knee with an engagement ring in hand and asked Angela to marry him.

Of course Angela said "YES!!!".
