Little dude 2- week 3

"Momma said there'd be weeks like this.... momma said... momma said"

Not sure why momma said there would be hard weeks but in my short little life this has been one. One that we have waited to post on until we knew results. At this point... let's just say I have already broken my parents trust when it comes to taking tests!
So after visiting the drs and again not gaining weight ... we had another meeting with the pediatrician.  Granted it was the day I was supposed to go on for my circumcision and I hadn't eaten in 3 hours and there was a scale discrepancy between the he2 scales of 2.5 ounces which makes a big deal when every ounce matters... but the dr and team at Rady's didnt want me to have surgery in case I didnt want to eat afterward. That also pushed up the necessity to drive down to SAN Diego for bloodwork.

We all drove down to Radys childrens hospital because mommy couldn't drive yet. Mommy only could go in with me due to this covid 19 thing that I keep hearing about. Sadly we left daddy and brother in the car to walk around the parking garage for over 2 hours while mommy and I waited to get blood drawn and a urine sample. (Sidenote... do you know how hard it is to get a urine sample from a newborn?)  After I screamed my head off getting bludgeon by a couple of needles they finally found a good source and collected what they needed. And I was safe in my mommy's arms and headed home.

The look I gave mommy on Friday when I heard we had to go down to Rady's AGAIN for more blood because they used the wrong colored vile to collect the blood the day before. Mommy was a lot more irritated. This time mommy and I made the trek down and due to their error we were in and out much quicker!

Mommy's singing while getting blood drawn made it much easier to bear this time around.

Brother was waiting for me when I got home to comfort and hold me! He still is unsure about me but I keep assuring him we are going to be best buddies!

Talking about other guys in my life ... my daddy is one amazing dude! With all that is going on... he can bring a smile to mine and mommy's face. He didnt know I was awake when he was holding me but I was and I am so content when he snuggles with me!

May the 4th ... Star Wars day... we were at the drs... again. I have gained a little bit of weight but the circumcision has been postponed again until I am up past birthweight or results come back. I was at 7 lbs 13 ounces today but still a few more ounces to get back to what I came into this world at.

I am staying awake longer and longer during the day. I enjoy tummy time if I am laying on my mommy or daddy... otherwise I want to be able to see what is going on around me. I sleep best when their is lots of noise. I love falling asleep to mommy singing nursery rhymes, lullabies,  and disney classics!

And for those curious minds... I passed all of my tests with flying colors. No metabolic issues! Another false positive! I am getting really good at throwing test results! And spoiler alert I do get up to my birthweight and beyond! Keeping mommy and daddy on their toes!
